Warranty-Terms of Sale Policy

Processors - Retail boxed processors carry a One (1) year limited warranty from Lake Mary Computers. Additional warranty may apply through the manufacturer directly. It is the customers responsibility to pursue any additional warranty options through the manufacturer directly after the expiration of warranty of any product from Lake Mary Computers. Processors which show signs of incorrect installation, damage or burn marks will void any warranty from Lake Mary Computers. Original Invoice proof of purchase will be required for any returns. Upon the inspection of a processor, and verification of the processors warranty, and defective status,  Lake Mary Computers will replace the defective processor with a new or refurbished processor at the discretion of Lake Mary Computers provided that processor is not physically damaged, show no signs of burn marks or incorrect installation and provided that customer has supplied original processor cooling fan.

New Monitors - New Monitors carry a One (1) year limited warranty from Lake Mary Computers. Additional warranty may apply directly through manufacturer. It is the customers responsibility to pursue any additional warranty options through the manufacturer after the expiration of warranty of any product from Lake Mary Computers.

Used Monitors - Thirty (30) day exchange for used only warranty at our store. No other warranty applies.

New Desktop Computer Systems - One (1) year limited parts and labor warranty from Lake Mary Computers. This warranty does not cover any software installed by the customer or the repair and labor involved should it be necessary to bring the customers computer system back to an operative state from any adverse effect that may have occurred resulting from third party hardware or software that has been installed by the customer. This Warranty does not cover power supply's, or any internal computer component that show signs of lightning or surge damage upon examination by a Lake Mary Computers technician. Windows Operating System issues will be supported directly by us; all other software applications are supported by their respective manufacturers. All warranty service is offered at our Lake Mary Store location only. Onsite service is not provided under warranty. Onsite service is available at our standard hourly service rate of $129.00 per hour from dispatch and by appointment only. Onsite service rates apply to local area only. This warranty will not cover repairs performed by anyone other than Lake Mary Computers. Upon receipt of any new computer system from Lake Mary Computers, it is the customer’s responsibility to take the necessary steps to protect the computer system and data after purchase. This may include, but is not limited to adequate surge and modem protection, data security, and antivirus protection. Customer agrees that it will be at the option of Lake Mary Computers to void any and all warranty of any computer system should inspection by a Lake Mary Computers technician find the system damaged due to either improper installation on the customers part, inadequate surge protection, and / or damaged caused by acts of God.

Notebook, Netbook and Nettop Computers - One (1) year limited parts and labor warranty direct through the manufacturer only. No other warranty applies.

Used Desktop and Notebooks Computer Systems - Thirty (30) day parts and labor only warranty. No other warranty applies. If Lake Mary Computers installed an operating system, it will be supported for Thirty (30) days but will not cover any additional software or devices that the customer may add. Used systems that are sold without any operating system will not be supported by us, and may be subject to a labor charge if software support is required.

Printers - New printers carry a One (1) year limited warranty direct through the manufacturer only. Used printers are sold as is and without warranty.   Refurbished printers carry warranty directly through the manufacturer. Refurbished printer warranty may vary in length from 30 days up to One (1) Year from date of purchase. All Refurbished printer warranty's will be marked clearly on their individual cartons.

Used Accessories & Products - Items that are sold used, or sold off of our clearance table marked used,  as is and carry a Seven (7) day exchange for used only warranty. No other warranty applies. This includes but is not limited to: video cards, sound cards, modems, network cards, optical drives, floppy drives, hard drives, power supplies, chassis, fans, heat sinks, memory, processors, monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, and/or miscellaneous clearance merchandise.

Software - All software sales are final. Software is non returnable. In the event software is damaged, it will be replaced by the same title within 7 days of original purchase. If it's is licensed software, original license will stay with customer. Original invoice must be presented by customer.

All Other Products - All other products sold by Lake Mary Computers are backed with a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase. It is the customers responsibility to pursue any additional warranty options through the manufacturer directly after the expiration of warranty of any product from Lake Mary Computers. Lake Mary Computers does not offer free technical support or installation instructions on individual parts or accessories. However, technical support & general instructions are available for a nominal fee and is charged on an hourly basis. All support fees are paid in advance by cash or credit card and are non refundable. Technical Support is a scheduled service available on a call back basis only.

Service - Thirty (30) day labor warranty on all work performed by the service department. This service warranty will be void if the customer installs an unsupported device or software that adversely affects any service previously performed or if customers computer contracts virus or malware. Lake Mary Computers (aka) That Computer Place Inc. its affiliates, owners, employees and associates shall not be liable or responsible for any data stored on the customers hard drive(s) or any data storage devices or media at any time before, during, or after service. While we try maintain the integrity of data while a computer is in our possession, we can not be held liable for any data loss under any condition and we highly encourage our customers to make back-ups of any important data on a regular basis and if possible before it is checked-in to our service department. Customer is required to read and sign Lake Mary Computers service invoice when checking in and checking out any property at our service department. By doing so, customer agrees without reservation to all policy's set forth herein.

Return Policy / Refund Policy

Returns - Returns are accepted within seven (7) days from the date of purchase. Custom built, Complete Computer Systems and Bare Bones Computer Systems including but not limited to the following internal components: Processors, Memory, Motherboards, Hard Drives, Video Cards and any Software is not returnable at any time for refund, credit or exchange. Products that have been special ordered for customer are non returnable. All other products have a Seven (7) day return policy. Printers will only be accepted for refund, credit or exchange if unopened within Seven (7) days of original purchase. Printer Toner is not returnable. No returns will be accepted without customers original invoice present. Returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returns will be accepted only if the products being returned are in their original new condition, have not been opened, and include all accessories, cables, literature, originally included. Returns will be accepted only if the products show no signs of installation. All products returned for warranty will be bench tested prior to being accepted for return and replacement. Customer will be responsible for a bench fee of $49.99 should a product being returned for warranty prove to operate normally after being tested by a Lake Mary Computers technician.

Refunds - Refunds are available within seven (7) Days from the date of purchase. No refunds will be issued without customers original invoice present. Refunds will be issued in the following manner only: If purchase was originally paid by credit card - The original credit card must be presented at the time of refund. After verification has been made, the customers account will be credited back at that time. If purchase was originally paid by company check - A corporate check will be issued by Lake Mary Computers by mail within Ten (10) days payable to the customer after verification has been made that the customer’s original check at the time of purchase has cleared our bank. If purchase was originally paid in cash - A cash refund will be issued  if the refund is being made on the same day of the original purchase. All other cash purchases will be refunded by company check within Ten (10) days payable to the customer. If purchase was originally paid by debit card - A corporate check will be issued by Lake Mary Computers by mail within Ten (10) days payable to the customer. Store credits are good for 30 days from the original issue date. 

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL CASH REFUNDS BE ISSUED UNDER ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL ANY PRODUCT BE ACCEPTED FOR RETURN, REFUND, CREDIT, EXCHANGE, WARRANTY OR REPAIR WITHOUT THE CUSTOMERS ORIGINAL INVOICE PRESENTED.

Returns being shipped to our company are accepted for warranty instances only. Customers are responsible for shipping the warranty product to our company at their expense. Customers are responsible for shipping products in a safe and secure manner and must use proper packaging to ensure the safety of the item. Customers shipping electronic or mechanical components including but not limited to hard drives, motherboards, processors, memory, video cards, controller cards, must ship the product in an anti-static bag before securing it inside a box with proper packing materials included to insure its safety during shipping. Any package received showing signs of damage may be refused. Any product found damaged after being unboxed upon receipt will not be processed and will be at the responsibility of the customer to file any claims with the shipping agent. Replacement parts will be shipped to customer at our expense. RMA numbers issued are valid for 14 days from the date issued. Special order parts returned to Lake Mary Computers are processed through their respective manufacturer, in a manufacturer replacement time frame, before being returned to customer. Customer also has the option for returning most major special order components under warranty direct to the manufacturer for faster processing. The following products are NOT accepted for return under normal circumstances by way of shipping and warranty must be processed in person at our retail store location or direct with the manufacturer: Custom Built Computer Systems, Monitors, Major Internal Computer Components including but not limited to Processors, Memory, Motherboards, Hard Drives, Video Cards, Controller Cards, Power Supply's. Customers who will need to ship their return will need to obtain an RMA# before any returns will be authorized. Returns shipped to our company without an RMA# will be refused. Products returned without a clearly visible RMA# marked on the package will be refused. Products returned without the customer’s original invoice and copy of the customers RMA form included will not be processed and the customer will be responsible for having the product shipped back to them and their expense including shipping, handling and processing fees.

Data Policy

That Computer Place Inc. (dba) Lake Mary Computers its affiliates, owners, employees and associates shall not be liable or responsible for any data stored on the customers hard drive(s) or any data storage devices or media at any time before, during, or after service. While we try maintain the integrity of data while a computer is in our possession, we can not be held liable for any data loss under any condition. We highly encourage customers to make back-ups of any important data on a regular basis & before your computer and data storage device is checked into our service department.

Abandonment Policy

Any property left in our service department after 30 days from the date of the service invoice will be charged a storage fee of $2.00 per day. Any property left in our service department for more than 45 days from the date of the service invoice, will be considered abandoned property and may discarded. In the event there are remaining unpaid fees involved, the abandoned property may be sold by Lake Mary Computers for the purpose of recouping any remaining service fees.
